A Pleasant All Hallow’s Eve to All

This is a commissioned piece for the Nerd Core band “Death Star”. The image was screen printed onto t-shirts that were sold at a Zombie Walk where the band was performing.

The art description required that the three band members be well armed and surrounded by advancing undead. I made a creative license call and arranged the zombies into the “star” pattern to coincide with the band’s name.
This was a one or two color image on the shirt so the fine lines and detail had to be kept to a minimum to maintain the impact of the overall design. Hence, this piece was a fast moving, fun job.
Hope you all have a VERY enjoyable Halloween!!

All Hallow’s Eve Alteration.

This is a commissioned alteration that features an homage to Christopher Rush’s magnificent art for the All Hallow’s Eve card. This alteration was done on a foiled Yawgmoth’s Will card and the Japanese type was added as part of the alteration.
Thank you very much for looking!

Goblin Shrine Artist Proof sketch

This is a quick sketch done on the white side of a “Goblin Shrine” artist proof card. Nothing too detailed. Simply a relaxing little warm-up for the days work.

Certificate of Authenticity : Ashen Ghoul

Hand painted certificate included with the original art for "Ashen Ghoul".

This is an example of something that I enjoy doing for the buyers of my original art. Many request a signed certificate of authenticity that they can display with the art. To make the document more unique and relevant, I like to do a sketch or drawing relating to the subject of the original painting. In this case it was the “Ashen Ghoul” from the Magic: the Gathering “Ice Age” expansion.
I took a bit of extra time on this one because it was a fun subject and the buyer had paid quickly. He stated that he almost liked the ghoul on the certificate more than the one on the original.
It was good to see one of my earlier Magic creations go to a loving home!

A cry for help!

My first piece for the Magic: the Gathering Online game.

Maybe someone out there can help me out with this piece. What we have here is the first image that Wizards asked me to do for their online Magic game. Since it was to be used in a digital format, I received no white-backed, artist proof cards as samples of the printed card and of course, none of these cards have arrived in the mail to be autographed. So I’m wondering what this image was used on or if it WAS ever used….? Does anyone recognize this and if so is it possible to do a screen save of it and send it over so I could get a peek at the final product?
As always, thanks for looking!

Yawgmoth’s Halloween

An old alteration that was sold on Ebay.

This was an auction that I did years ago to put up for auction on Ebay.
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow has always been my favorite Halloween story. So I integrated it into an alteration on a Yawgmoth’s Will card and put it up for auction. It did quite well. So that made the whole project even more fun.
