Full Moon Offering XXXV

Greetings and thanks for visiting my blog!

This month’s F.M.O. will be a bit different than previous posts. In the past, I’ve generally only posted single images. This month I’ve got something amazing to show off and it requires more than one or two images to do so.

Werewolf vs. Vampire Chess Set

The Werewolf vs. Vampire chess set!
I’ve wanted one of these for years! In early December, a person in England listed one on eBay. My fabulous wife did a “buy-it-now” and it was sitting under the tree for me on Christmas Day!!
A big, big hole in my life healed!
So, here are a few pictures of my big win on Christmas 2012.

So far, we’ve played 3 games with this board. Score: Werewolves-3 Leeches-0!!

For the art portion of this month’s Offering, I’ve dug out an envelope of ancient doodles.
These sketchy panels were done as “marginals” in a copy of “With Fang and Claw,” a White Wolf Games pocketbook sized, publication devoted to the “Rage” card game. White Wolf had asked me to do a sketch in the copy that would be given away as a tournament prize. Looking through the book, I noticed that the margins on the pages were expansive and numerous. So, instead of doing one nice sketch, I did three dozen extremely crude, sequential scrawls in the margins throughout the book.
Having worked through that impulse, I sent the book off to White Wolf and that’s the last I saw or heard of it. Now, after a decade and a half of entombment, it’s brought forth again to hary my already haggard artistic reputation.
Since the plot is as rudimentary as the art, some brief explanation may be necessary: our hero, the werewolf, is attacked by a wYrm creature which he deftly trisects. The three pieces metamorph into separate bane entities. Can Gaia’s champion prevail?!!

Now you just need a Space Wolf vs. Cthulhu chess set. 😉
Great to see new (old) sketches. Takes me back! I still have some 9,000 RAGE CCG cards.

In just a few short days/weeks we’ll hopefully have the PDF of the Werewolf: the Apocalypse 20th Anniversary Edition core book and finally get to see your full work (that Richard Thomas hasn’t posted) and any other goodies we haven’t been told about yet. 😉 (It’s going to be a few months before I get my Deluxe edition, though I hope to get the Print-on-Demand version through DriveThruRPG.com as soon as it’s available.)

Sometimes the simplest stories are the most effective. Visceral work, sir, and thank you for sharing.
